Enoosik Ottokie (1953) first started learning jewelry making in 1987, with Allyson Simmie of Nova Scotia. Since that time, she has studied not only jewelry, but drawing and printmaking. She has also taught for Nunavut Arctic College in various communities. She loves making jewelry and finds it fun. In her home studio, she is able to make a living through jewelry commissions. Enoosik comes from an artistic family. Her father used to carve and her mother, Kileemeeomie Samayualie, contributed drawings to the Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection.
