Adamie Mathewsie (1991 - ) learned how to carve from watching his accomplished father, Palaya Qiatsuq. Adamie shows considerable promise for a young artist. He prefers to carve animals, primarily bears and owls often on a smaller scale. Adamie is known for his dancing bears, his naturalistic carvings depict the joy and humour of the moment.
