Kellypalik Etidloie is the son of the well-known Cape Dorset artists, Etidloie and Kingmeata. His father, Etidloie Etidloie was a carver, while his mother, Kingmeata Etidloie was a graphic artist. His older brother, Etulu is a Cape Dorset carver as well. 

Kelly's work has been exhibited across Canada, as well as in the United States, France, Germany, and Switzerland.
