Medium Raku Plate
This raku plate has splashes of vibrant, iridescent colour. Hand-applied glazes mean each piece is unique. Use as decor to add elegance to your home!
Raku is a low-firing process that involves removing pottery from the kiln while at bright red heat and placing it into closed containers with combustible materials. This produces an intense reduction atmosphere which affects the colors in glazes and clay bodies. The drastic thermal shock also produces a deliberate crackling effect.

What I value most is the challenge of self-realization through the creative process. While others may write a daily journal, my diary is written with clay. Each one of us has our own contribution on Earth, for an artist, it is my intention to pursue excellence through my art.”
