Ottokie Aningmiuq is a carver from Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut. Ottokie comes from an artistic family and was taught to carve by his father.
Aningmiuq’s work is influenced by his family members as well as the land and animals around him. He often carves northern animals with a playful hand that gives personality to his final figures.
