Tony Oqutaq (1977- )
His father is Enooky Oqutaq (brother of the renowned Oshuitok Ipeelie) and his mother is Qimipiqiluq Oqutaq. One of Tony’s grandmothers was the great Sheojuk Oqutaq. Tony started to carve when he was 20 years of age. His favourite subject matter includes polar bears because as he says, “I am amazed that polar bears are so powerful and are such good hunters”.
