Simionie Alariaq (1965 -  ) has many carvers in his family. Father Adamie, older brother Timune and other brother Novaliak. Simionie is an accomplished carver, he carves any subject but prefers the arctic fauna and the inuksuk. His work is elegant, has fluid lines and he leaves the surface highly polished. Simionie was part of the workforce that produced the large “sedna” sculpture for Royal Trust.
