Pee Ashevak (b. 1965) was adopted at an early age by Kenojuak and Johnnybou Ashevak. Although she lived with the family of Cape Dorset’s most renowned graphic artist it was Pee’s young son Arnaqu who inspired her to begin drawing seriously in 2016. Pee has done numerous drawings since then. Her depictions of wildlife and traditional camp scenes have a thoughtful and endearing quality.
