Gotamago began as whimsical dalliance and love for all things ink and paper until 2013 when the founder, Lichia Liu, hopped off the corporate ladder to illustrate the world. The Gotamago collection features original ink-and-watercolour illustrations designed and printed in Toronto, Canada. Every design has a personal story and is delivered from the heart. Inspired by urbanity, nature, and the simplicity of everyday things, they combine a love for travel and culture with a sense of continual discovery.

The name "Gotamago" is a combination of two Japanese words: "go-cco", a self-contained printing press that was used to print the very first Gotamago card; and "tamago", meaning "egg", as a reminder of our fleeting existence and universal connection.
