Manuela has always been drawn to beautiful objects and patterns. After her Fine Arts studies at Champlain College and BFA at Concordia University, Manuela went on to work as a commercial artist designing artwork, textiles and home goods.

Her profession took her around the world to work with clients and factories, but in 2020 Manuela began to feel the gradual erosion of her artistic spirit due to her corporate career. Fueled by a burning desire to rekindle her creative flame, she created Dora Nola.

Dora Nola embodies courage, vivid colours, and unapologetic individuality through art, scarves and other fashion accessories.

In 2023, Manuela made the decision to fully embrace her calling as an artist. Now, based in her home studio, Manuela dedicates all her time and energy to Dora Nola and other creative projects.
