Hassan Ghanati is the artist behind Zima. Ghanati founded Zima in 2012 and has dedicated the last decade to perfecting his craft and experimenting with materials such as wood, metal, resin and ceramics. Most of the pieces of Zima are created from wood.

As such, I want you to know that the wood for all my pieces are sourced and milled from distressed or fallen trees, right here in Toronto, Canada.”
